Carol Nolan - Spokesperson on Education & Skills

Carol Nolan is your Sinn Féin TD in the Offaly constituency. From Cadamstown, she represents the Birr electoral area on Offaly County Council. Carol is married to Gerard and they have two children.

Carol has been primary school teacher for 12 years and has served as the principal of a local Gaelscoil. Carol is passionate about the provision of equal educational opportunities for all children and attained a Masters Degree in Special and Inclusive Education in 2011. She has been a strong advocate for improvements in access to vital services such as occupational therapy and speech therapy for children with special needs.

Carol is a committed Irish language activist and a member of Conradh na Gaeilge. She is currently studying for a PhD at NUI Galway.

Since being elected as a county councillor, Carol has initiated several campaigns relating to unfair restrictions on cross-border trade of cattle and the need for greater support for farming families. Carol is the Chairperson of Kinnitty Community Playgroup and Secretary of Cadamstown Tidy Towns.
