Gerry Adams extends condolences to family of Seamus Brennan

9 July, 2008 - by Pat Sheehan

Sinn Fein party President Gerry Adams has this morning extended his sincere condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of former government Minister Seamus Brennan.

Mr Adams said:

“On behalf of myself and colleagues in Sinn Féin I wish to extend my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Seamus Brennan.

“I wish also to extend our condolences to the Fianna Fáil party of which Séamus Brennan was a long-serving and leading member.

“Despite his serious illness he sought no fuss or attention over his last few months. His passing at an early age is a loss to Irish politics. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.” ENDS
