Boylan questions what action Minister Wilson has taken to assist local government workers?

Sinn Féin Newry and Armagh MLA Cathal Boylan has questioned what measures the Minister for the Environment Sammy Wilson MLA has taken to intervene on behalf of local government staff who are to strike for a pay increase.

He asked

"I am curious to know what measures the Minister has taken to represent the local government workers at central negotiations and what measures he has taken to meet with representative of the Trade Unions on this issue?

What local government workers are seeking here is a decent living wage and that is only right and understandable. These are issues that the Environment Minister deal with urgently for the sake of these workers but also in the time ahead as the implementation of RPA comes about."
