Sinn Féin west Belfast MLA and Health Committee member Sue Ramsey today (Wednesday) took part in community visit by the Health Committee to the RVH in west Belfast.
Speaking after the engagement Ms Ramsey said,
"The purpose of today's meeting was to hear proposals regarding the development of the new women and children's hospital and indicates further the need for the Minister to act on this issue. People have been waiting years on the development of this project and Sinn Fein has a motion before the Assembly after recess calling for action on this issue.
"From a personal perspective it was a great opportunity to meet with those people delivering these front line services and to hear issues directly affecting them. It was also useful for us as committee members to meet and hear from the Board of the hospital on a number of issues also." CRÍOCH
