Orange Hall attacks must stop - O Neill

14 November, 2008 - by Michelle O'Neill

Sinn Féin MLA Michelle O'Neill has stated following an attack Bawn Orange Hall in Tyrone that all attacks against Orange halls should be stopped and those who are behind them are only setting back community relations.

Speaking today Mr McElduff said:

"This attack is wrong, and those behind this attack or indeed any other attacks on Orange halls need to think about their actions and the effect that they have on community relations. The simple fact is that whoever is behind such attacks can only be described as sectarian.

"In recent months there have been attacks on Orange Halls and GAA clubs alike. Both are equally as wrong and need to be brought to a stop immediately. There can be no justification for attacks against any section of the community whatsoever."
