West Tyrone - Michaela Boyle

From a strong community and voluntary work background and member of Sinn Fein since 1997, Michaela was selected by Sinn Féin to fill the vacancy left following the death of esteemed colleague Cllr Ivan Barr in 2008.  

As an extremely hard working councillor she has worked to ensured that the views and needs of people across the District were reflected within Council.  Michaela was also the formally the Chair of Strabane District Council. 

Working extremely closely with outgoing MLA Claire McGill, Michaela has amassed vast experience in dealing with the multitude and variety of issues that make up the workload at Assembly level.    

Upon her election Michaela was appointed to the Health and Education Committee before being appointed as the Chair of the Public Account Committee.
