Rose Conway-Walsh

Cllr. Rose Conway-Walsh has served on Mayo County Council since June 2009 where she has earned a reputation as an outspoken forthright woman who gets things done. She holds a BA honours degree in Public Management and is currently the only County Councillor in the Country to hold a Masters in Local Government. She lives in Belmullet with her husband Noel and two young sons.

Rose’s educational background in economics, her leadership skills and human rights approach to problem solving will enable her to carry out the duties and responsibilities of a T.D. in a diligent and effective manner. Rose is deeply committed to republican politics and the empowerment of local communities.

As County Councillor and a full time Community Development Worker she has been responsible for many innovative and successful initiatives to address key issues in the Erris. From a young age she has held senior positions in large companies and organisations in both Ireland and the UK.

Rose can provide in-depth economic analysis and provide evidenced based solutions to the current crisis. She is an honest hardworking public representative who will be a strong voice for the people of Mayo. Rose is committed to job creation and ensuring equality of access to healthcare and education.
