Dublin South Central - Aengus Ó SNODAIGH TD
Aengus was first elected in 2002 and re-elected in 2007 and is currently Sinn Féin’s spokesperson on Social Protection, Justice, Equality and International Affairs.
He is party whip in the Dáil and is on several Oireachtas committees.

A member of the Ballyfermot Drugs Taskforce, Aengus is also treasurer of Bluebell Community Development Project (CDP) and a board member of Liberties Recycling.
A committed community activist Aengus has never shied from speaking his mind and being active on local and national issues including campaigns to
- Save our Swimming Pool;
- reinstate the Christmas Bonus;
- Stop the Water Charges;
- Save Crumlin Hospital from closure;
- and close the Headshops.
A fluent Irish speaker Aengus now lives in Bluebell with his wife, Aisling, and their three children. Similar to all other Sinn Féin Oireachtas members Aengus only draws the average wage.
The surplus of his Leinster House income is used to fund a full-time constituency advice service and to keep constituents informed of local and national developments.
