Dublin North Central - Helen McCORMACK

Helen is the candidate for Dublin North Central.  She is from Dublin and lives in Marino.  She studied Social Science and has completed a Masters in Primary Health Care.

She has a background in Community Development and in Health Promotion, and has worked extensively on community projects in her Community Health Promotion role. Much of this work entails addressing inequalities in health and in strengthening the community voice in relation to service planning and delivery.

She also runs courses on many aspects of health and well being.  Her involvement with Sinn Féin at local level led to Helen becoming active as Gender Equality Officer for Dublin.  She is now active in the Women’s Department and has organised many women’s events over the years.
