Mary Kate
Quinn is one of a new generation of Sinn Féin representatives.
A 23 year old political and community activist in the Crumlin / Glenavy area, she attended St Mary’s University College where she was secretary of the hurling club and, in 2010, graduated with a degree in Liberal Arts and History.
Mary Kate joined Sinn Féin in 2007 and her talent and enthusiasm was quickly recognised in her appointment as Political Advisor to Mitchel McLaughlin (MLA) in South Antrim.
She has a keen interest in youth and women’s issues and in minority rights. In July 2010 she attended a major European Migration conference in Poland. She holds a number of key positions in Sinn Fein and also works as an outreach youth worker.
