Unlike Collins, Kenny’s words at variance with his actions — Adams
August 19, 2012
Commenting on Enda Kenny’s address at Béal na mBláth, west Cork to mark the 90th anniversary of the death of Michael Collins, Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams accused the Taoiseach of engaging in “the rhetoric of economic sovereignty while his government is immersed in the politics of austerity and EU federalism.”
Mr Adams said:
“The Taoiseach today engaged merely in the rhetoric of economic sovereignty while his government is immersed in the politics of austerity and EU federalism.
“Whatever one thinks of Michael Collins, he acted in line with his decisions. On the other hand, Mr Kenny’s assertive language is totally at variance with his actions.”
