Threat against Principal must be lifted – Mitchel McLaughlin

31 August, 2012 - by Mitchel McLaughlin

Sinn Féin MLA Mitchel McLaughlin has condemned the death threat against Crumlin College Integrated Principal Dr Annabel Scott and said it must be withdrawn immediately.

The South Antrim MLA said:

“I condemn this threat. Any on-going concerns about the school and its staff will not be resolved by this death threat and it needs to be withdrawn immediately. It does harm not only to the individual concerned but the school as a whole.

“Concerns that people have regarding the school can only be resolved through working with the school authorities and the Education Department. I expect a robust investigation by the PSNI so that this threat can be removed and the school can get on with the job of teaching our young people.”
