McDonald launches clár for Sinn Féin’s Summer School

Sinn Féin Deputy Leader Mary Lou McDonald today launched the clár for the party’s annual summer school which takes place this weekend in Baile Bhuirne in Cork.

Among the speakers this year are former Head of News and Content at UTV Rob Morrison, Dublin Rap Artist Temper-Mental MissElayneous, Political Editor of the Irish Examiner Paul O’Brien and singer/songwriter Brian Kennedy.

Also speaking at the event will be Alan McBride who lost his wife and father in law in the Shankill bombing in 1993 and Amanda Fullerton, daughter of Sinn Féin Councillor Eddie Fullerton who was shot dead in his home in Buncrana in 1991.

Deputy McDonald said:

“Once again we have put together a brilliant line-up for what is turning into a very popular annual summer school.

“With high profile speakers from the world of politics, media and the arts this promises to be yet another thought provoking and entertaining weekend.”
