Deputy Michael Colreavy, Sinn Féin Spokesperson for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, has urged people to make the switch-over to digital television prior to the switching off of the analogue system on 24 October.
Speaking on the matter Deputy Colreavy said:
“It is essential that everyone who owns a television makes the switchover to the Saorview service if they wish to receive a television signal after 24 October. I questioned the Minister on the issue, asking how many people were yet to make the change to digital television.
“The Minister informed me that there are approximately 100,000 people left to make the switchover. I especially encourage people to assist elderly neighbours and friends to ensure that there is no one left without a service after 24 October.”
