Sinn Féin MLA calls for people to make their voices heard during paediatric consultation
November 13, 2012
Sinn Féin MLA Sue Ramsey has called on people to contribute their views to the consultation on Paediatric Cardiac Surgery.
The West Belfast MLA and Chair of the Assembly’s Health Committee said:
“There is a series of public meetings taking place around the consultation on Paediatric care and I would encourage as many people as possible to get their voices heard.
“This is a vital service and we need to ensure that peoples voices are heard in order to secure the best outcome for our children and the future of the service.
“Sinn Féin believes an all Ireland approach to Paediatric care is the best viable option and will save families and patients from the added burden of travelling across the water for treatment.
“It is time for people to have their voices heard and to influence the decision and ensure that those who require heart surgery can access it closer to home.” CRÍOCH/END
