Sinn Féin president and TD for Louth, Gerry Adams TD has expressed his shock at the shooting dead of a detective garda during the robbery of the Lordship credit union, Cooley Road, Dundalk tonight."I am shocked at this crime.  I extend my deepest sympathies to his family and colleagues and appeal to those with information about this crime to co-operate with the gardaí."
