Sinn Féin MLA Sue Ramsey has called on people to show their support for a rally on Saturday by Heartbeat who are campaigning for patients to have access to Paediatric Cardiac Surgery.
The West Belfast MLA and Chair of the Assembly’s Health Committee said:
“Paediatric Cardiac Surgery is a vital service and that is what the rally and Heartbeat are campaigning for.
“Sinn Féin believe that an all Ireland approach to Paediatric Congenital Cardiac Services will provide the necessary care and treatment for children with serious heart problems.
“This will save families and patients from the added burden of travelling across the water for treatment.”
“Anyone wishing to show their support should assemble on Saturday at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children at 10.45am with the rally to start at 11am and proceed to the Health & Social Care Board Trust Headquarters in Linenhall Street.”
