25 February, 2013 - by Pádraig Mac Lochlainn TD

Sinn Féin TD Padraig MacLochlainn has called on Michael Lowry to clarify the apparent contradiction between the evidence he gave to the Moriarty Tribunal and the telephone conversation he had with land agent Kevin Phelan which was exposed in a national newspaper yesterday.

Speaking today Deputy MacLochlainn said;

“There appears to be a contradiction between the evidence Deputy Lowry provided to the Moriarty Tribunal and what he said in this telephone conversation.

“Deputy Lowry should make a clarifying statement on this issue at the earliest opportunity.”
