Sinn Fein MLA and Junior Minister Jennifer McCann has praised the NOW organisation for their work with people who have learning disabilities.
On a visit to their premises on the Springfield Road the West Belfast MLA said:
"Now is involved in vital work with people who have learning disabilities, ensuring they are supported and empowered for any future path they choose to take.
“Their work is about tackling poverty and promoting social inclusion and focuses on empowering the people they work with to gain qualifications, better health, wellbeing plus life and work experience.
“It has a number of programmes that provide a pathway for an individual to move from education and training into employment, including innovative personal development courses and volunteering opportunities.
“NOW works with a number of other organisations in the greater Belfast and Lisburn areas to ensure that people with learning disabilities can access the best opportunities available."
