Sinn Féin Councillor for Upper Falls Caoimhin Mac Giolla Mhin has slammed those responsible for the leaving of a viable pipe bomb under a car in Norfolk Drive, just off the Glen Road.
Speaking this morning Cllr Mac Giolla Mhin said:
“Whoever is responsible for leaving this viable device under a car has endangered this community.
“This is a busy street with many families and elderly people living here, many of who had to leave their homes for the duration of the night. Anyone could have found this device or been injured or worse had it gone off.
“This was reckless from the outset. Those behind it like to portray the myth that they are acting on behalf of this community. They couldn’t be more wrong. There is no community support whatsoever for this type of action."
