Sinn Féin MLA Rosie McCorley said the party will not be intimidated from carrying on their work after a hoax parcel bomb addressed to a councillor was intercepted at a postal sorting office.
The West Belfast MLA said:
“The PSNI have informed us that a hoax device, addressed to a Sinn Féin councillor at Connolly House, was intercepted today at Belfast sorting office.
“This one was a hoax but the police warned us to be careful because of the risk of further packages.
“Sinn Féin’s elected representatives and party activists will not be intimidated by anyone from doing their work for all their constituents.
“Whoever is responsible for this needs to realise that any attempts at intimidation will just make us more determined to carry on that work.”
