Help build a better future for our children and young people – Jennifer McCann

14 February, 2014 - by Jennifer McCann

Sinn Féin MLA and Junior Minister Jennifer McCann said improving outcomes for children and young people is essential to give them the best start in life.

Speaking at the launch of the Delivering Social Change Consultation in North Belfast this morning the West Belfast MLA said:

“We want all our children to be healthy, safe and secure and have the opportunities to fully contribute to society now and in the future. They all deserve the opportunity to thrive and look forward with confidence to the future.

“To do that we must ensure they get the best possible start in life by developing policies and programmes to ensure the most urgent problems effecting children and families are addressed.

“Reducing poverty and improving children and young peoples health, well-being and lifetime opportunities are key to this.”
