Social Development committee inquiry too important to be be disrupted - Maskey

13 March, 2014 - by Alex Maskey

Alex Maskey MLA who is the chair of the Assembly’s Social Development Committee has said he was very disappointed that today’s meeting had to be adjourned.

Speaking today Mr Maskey said:

“I am very disappointed that some members of the committee continued to disrupt the proceedings of the committee this morning despite my numerous appeals for members not to interrupt and speak over other members.

“I cannot allow proceedings of such an important inquiry to be disrupted in this fashion and so I was left with no other option but to adjourn the proceedings.”
