Sinn Féin councillor slams bombers

14 March, 2014

Sinn Féin councillor Matt Garrett said thankfully no one was hurt when an under-car explosive device was left on the Blacks Road today.

Matt Garrett said:

“Thankfully no one was hurt by this device, including local residents and children who could easily have picked up the bomb.

“Those behind this device need to catch up with the rest of the people of Ireland who have moved on from the past.

“Those that voice support for these groups, whose only allegiance is to violence, need to come forward and explain to the people what they aim to achieve by these actions.

“These groups are opposed to change but they will not stop us from moving forward to a more equal and peaceful society.”
