Reduction in non domestic water rates welcomed

26 March, 2014 - by Cathal Ó hOisín

Sinn Féin MLA Cathal Ó hOisín has welcomed news that NI Water has announced a decrease for non-domestic users for the second year in a row.

 Mr O hOisín said:

“The news that water rates for non-domestic customers are to be reduced on average by 4% is some good news at last for local businesses.

“It is important that if businesses are to be competitive then rates and charges are kept to a minimum and this reduction in water rates will be of some comfort to businesses.

“With rising costs all round we need to continue to look at ways at making investment in the North more attractive and lowering the basic running costs will help deliver that.”
