Family entitled to truth on collusion – Alex Maskey

Sinn Féin MLA Alex Maskey said that 20 years after the murder of Theresa Clinton, her family are entitled to know the truth about British state collusion in her killing.

The South Belfast MLA’s comments come as Theresa Clinton’s family lodged writs against the British government and the PSNI.

Alex Maskey said:

“For 20 years now Theresa Clinton’s family has been denied the truth surrounding her killing.

“Collusion was a system of repression and terror employed by the British state in an attempt to break the will of the nationalist community.

“Clearly it went further than the loyalist gun gangs involved and their handlers.

“Theresa Clinton’s family is entitled to know the truth about her murder. The British state should come clean rather than put her family through the ordeal of going to the courts.”

Wreath laying

Remembering Theresa Lecture

Tuesday 15th April 7:30pm at the Shaftesbury Recreation Centre. Doors open at 7pm for viewing of the Relatives For Justice Remembrance Quilt. Organised by Relatives for Justice & Lower Ormeau Residents Action Group.
