Maskey welcomes announcement of almost 500 jobs for Belfast

28 April, 2014 - by Paul Maskey

West Belfast MP, Paul Maskey has welcomed the announcement by accountancy firm EY that it is creating 486 jobs in Belfast.

Mr Maskey said:

“This announcement today by accountancy firm EY (formerly Ernst &Young) that it is to create 486 jobs in Belfast is a great boost for the local economy.

“Not only will these jobs provide almost 500 people with employment but the extra injection of £19m will be a welcome bonus for the local economy through the additional spending on goods and services.

“The confidence of this investment by EY will also send a positive message that the North is competitive and a good place to invest.

“It is important that we attract more jobs of this high category into the North and I would commend Invest NI for its support of this project.” CRÍOCH/END
