Sinn Féin agricultural spokesperson, Martin Ferris TD is at the Balmoral Show today as part of the party's participation there.
He joined his Sinn Féin colleagues from the North's Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, including Minister Michelle O'Neill. Conor Murphy MP for Newry South Armagh was also on the Sinn Féin stand in the Agri pavilion.
Deputy Ferris said;
“Sinn Féin's participation here is an indication of the party's commitment to representation of farmers all over the island and to the protection of the family farm.
“We look forward to seeing Sinn Féin MEPs being a strong voice for Irish agriculture in the European Parliament soon.”
The show is on the site of Long Kesh prison for the second year, having moved in 2013 from its former home at the King's Hall in Belfast.
