Sinn Féin pulling out all the stops for Dublin West candidate Paul Donnelly
Sinn Féin is pulling out all the stops to ensure Paul Donnelly becomes the party’s next TD. Paul, who is standing for Sinn Féin in the Dublin West by-election next week, was supported by five Sinn Féin TDs as he stepped up his campaign today.
TDs Dessie Ellis, Peadar Tóibín, Michael Colreavy, Johnathan O’Brien & Sandra McLellan were all canvassing on Paul’s behalf in Dublin West today.
In addition to the support received today, the Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams and vice-President Mary Lou McDonald TD will both be in the Dublin West constituency tomorrow supporting Paul.
Speaking during today’s canvass, candidate Paul Donnelly was grateful for the tremendous support he is receiving:
“I think that today’s visit from no less than five Sinn Féin TDs, along with tomorrow’s visit from Gerry Adams and Mary Lou McDonald clearly shows the seriousness Sinn Féin attributes to this by-election.
“We are the only party to maintain a full-time Advice Centre in the constituency - an advice centre which is inundated with queries from those who have been decimated by the austerity programme enforced by consecutive governments.
“Let there be no doubt, I am aiming to win this by-election for Sinn Féin. Our polls are extremely encouraging and have given added impetus to my campaign. With the support of my party’s TDs and with a large number of canvassers on my team, I am very confident of success.”
