In an eve of poll election appeal, Sinn Féin Leader Gerry Adams TD has called on every person who is entitled to vote tomorrow, to use their vote and to use it wisely.
On the issue of Alan Shatter's severance payment he said the ongoing saga underlined the dysfunctionality of the Fine Gael/Labour government.
Gerry Adams said:
"The latest chapter in the ongoing saga around former Minister for Justice Alan Shatter TD, underlines the dysfunctionality of this government and the need for political change.
"Today, across the North, citizens are voting for Sinn Féin in huge numbers.
"Tomorrow, here in the 26 Counties, voters can make a real change from the old, failed way of doing politics.
"Athnaíonn daoine go bhfuil bealach níos fearr ann.
"A vote for Sinn Féin is a vote against the bank debt burden, unemployment, forced emigration, the property tax and water charges.
“It is a vote for genuine republican politics based on fairness and the interests and rights of citizens.
“This is a unique a unique opportunity to change the Irish political landscape for the better.
"This will only happen if those citizens who want change, come out and make it happen.
"So, tomorrow come out and Make the Change. Vote Sinn Féin Number 1."
