Aer Lingus cabin crew entitled to decent working conditions – Cullinane

30 May, 2014 - by David Cullinane

Sinn Féin’s Workers Rights spokesperson David Cullinane has called on Aer Lingus to work constructively with IMPACT to resolve the rostering issue at the airline.

Senator Cullinane said:

“Management at Aer Lingus must listen to the workers and take seriously their concerns about the current rostering arrangements.

“Workers should have good working conditions and work patterns that are both orderly and structured and allow them to live decent lives.

“I welcome the forthcoming talks between management and IMPACT which hopefully will result in constructive dialogue and resolution.

“Dialogue and engagement had a positive outcome when it came to the pilot’s dispute about rostering at Aer Lingus.

“There is no reason why this template cannot work again, particularly in relation to cabin crew staff.”
