Adams saddened by death of Dermot Healy

Sinn Féin Leader Gerry Adams TD has expressed his sadness at the death of the writer Dermot Healy.

Gerry Adams said:

"I was saddened to hear the news today of the death of Dermot Healy.

"One of the greatest writers of our time, Dermot was extremely talented and original. He has left this country a considerable legacy in his novels, short stories, plays and poetry.

"I wish to extend my sympathy to his wife Helen, his children Dallan and Inor and all his friends during this sad time."
