McGinley needs to be clear on Foras funding - Rosie McCorley

1 July, 2014 - by Rosaleen McCorley

Speaking out today the Sinn Féin MLA and party spokesperson on the Irish language Rosie McCorley asked Minister McGinley to clarify the question of funding for Foras na Gaeilge and by implication the funding of the six lead organisations dependent on it.

“The organisations cannot get to grips with their new responsibilities if they do not have certainty of some sort around the amount of money they will have,” said Rosie McCorley.

“You cannot survive on cuts alone. It is time for the Minister to bring clarity and certainty to the question.”
