Sinn Féin councillor and deputy Mayor of Craigavon Catherine Seeley has expressed concern at reports that more than 100 people are waiting on appointments at the fracture clinic in Craigavon Hospital.
Councillor Seeley said:
"A number of constituents have contacted me after being told it will be at least two weeks before they will be seen by the doctors at the clinic.
"One person was told there are over 100 people waiting for appointments.
"Patients of all ages are affected with one mother telling me her child has yet to have a follow-up consultation after the A&E unit set her broken bone last week.”
"I am calling for Craigavon Hospital to be given the resources it requires to treat these patients.
"Further delays may actually result in much more expensive procedures being required."
