Taxi rank closure at Beaumont Hospital unexplained- Cllr O' Moore

23 June, 2015 - by Ciaran O'Moore

Sinn Féin Dublin City Councillor Ciarán O’ Moore has meet with the taxi rank drivers in Beaumont Hospital this morning to discuss the impending closer of the rank.

Speaking today after the meeting of HSE Dublin north-eastern health forum Cllr O’ Moore said:

“The hospital board at Beaumont has proposed closing the taxi rank at the hospital, without providing any reason.

“300 taxi trips take place per day from this rank, which involve patients, doctors, visitors and staff from other hospital.

“I find it troubling that the board has not given a valid reason for the closure and I call on it to explain its decision.”
