Urgent examination of all piers needed - Louise O’ Reilly TD
In the wake of the appalling tragedy in Buncrana Sinn Fein TD for Fingal has called on Fingal County Council to undertake a review of all piers, slips and jetties.
Speaking today Deputy O'Reilly said:
“I have today written to the Chief Executive of Fingal County Council to request that this review take place as a matter of priority. All piers, slips and jetties in the region must be assessed for safety and appropriate signage be put in place.”
“We must to our utmost to ensure that such a tragedy will not be repeated.”
