UUP won’t dictate who will be in the Executive – Ní Chuilín

13 February, 2017 - by Carál Ní Chuilín

Sinn Féin’s Carál Ní Chuilín said today that neither Mike Nesbitt nor the UUP will dictate who can or cannot be in the Executive.

Speaking today Carál said:

“I have listened to Mike Nesbitt today on who he is prepared to share power with.

“Let me remind Mike that unless the institutions operate on the basis of equality and respect there will be no institutions.

“Secondly it will be up to the voters to decide who makes up the executive.

“If we get enough votes Sinn Féin will be in the Executive in line with the Good Friday Agreement.

“It is it not up to Mike Nesbitt or the UUP to say who can or cannot be in the Executive. We will be in government.

“The real question is will the UUP take up a role the executive after this election are go back to the comfort of the opposition benches."
