Resumption of flights at Waterford Airport a major boost - Cullinane

19 June, 2017 - by David Cullinane TD

Sinn Féin TD for Waterford David Cullinane has welcomed the resumption of flights at Waterford Airport. He said flights from Waterford to Luton, Birmingham and Manchester will be a tremendous boost for the region.

Speaking today, Teachta Cullinane said;

"I am delighted that a new Airline carrier Aer Southeast will operate flights from Waterford to three locations in Britain.

"Connectivity with London, Birmingham and Manchester is vital for the regional economy.

"Waterford needs a sustainable air service and this announcement is great news. The issue of funding for a runway extension is still important as it will enhance carrier options at the Airport. I wish the Airport staff and management well and also the new Airline carrier"
