Livestock attack in Ballyholland 'horrendous'. - Ennis

5 July, 2017 - by Sinéad Ennis

Sinn Féin MLA for South Down, Sinead Ennis, has stated that whoever is behind the maiming and killing of farm livestock in the Newry and Mourne area needs to be brought to justice and that such horrendous attacks must stop.

Speaking today following an attack on a flock of sheep in Ballyholland Ms Ennis said:

“The ongoing attacks on livestock in the Newry and Mourne area are both shocking and horrendous.

“There is no rhyme or reason why farm animals are being targeted in this way, maimed and killed. It must stop.

“Local people are rightly concerned.

“We need to find out who is responsible for these heinous acts and bring them to justice.

“I would appeal to anybody with any information, no matter how small they think it is, to bring it to the PSNI.”
