Adams congratulates Louth Tidy Town groups on six medal win

26 September, 2017 - by Gerry Adams TD

Sinn Féin TD for Louth Gerry Adams has extended his congratulations to Louth’s Tidy Towns 2017 competitors. Drogheda, Dundalk, Tallanstown, Blackrock, Ardee, and Knockbridge all received medals on behalf of their communities in this year’s competition.

Welcoming the news, Teachta Adams said;

“I want to commend our local Louth groups who, in spite of stiff competition in this year’s Tidy Towns, took home six medals for their communities.

“Congratulations to Drogheda, Dundalk, and Tallanstown for winning Gold Medals and to Ardee and Knockbridge for winning Bronze medals. It is great to see County Louth so well represented in such an important competition.

“The Tidy Towns competition has grown in strength from year to year. The annual transformation of our towns and villages is a real testament to the community spirit of the volunteers involved.”
