McGuigan urges road users to remain cautious

17 October, 2017 - by Philip McGuigan

Sinn Féin infrastructure spokesperson Philip McGuigan has urged road users to exercise caution and remain vigilant as the clean-up operation continues after Storm Ophelia.

The North Antrim MLA said:

“The clean-up work to clear roads of debris has started. I urge all road users to take extra care of loose debris while this work continues and to be mindful that further tree falls are possible.

“Road users should reduce their speed, stay well behind the vehicle in front and always wear their seatbelt.

“I have been assured that the Department will continue to work with other response agencies and local government as part of the multi-agency response as repair and clean-up work begins.”
