Archibald welcomes wider screening of 'No Stone Unturned’
Sinn Féin MLA Caoimhe Archibald has welcomed the wider distribution of the Loughinisland documentary ‘No Stone Unturned’ to Moviehouse Cinema in Coleraine.
The East Derry MLA said:
"My office contacted the venue to enquire if they planned to show the film and were informed that they only had a number of prints available to them.
“They have now contacted me to confirm they will be providing screenings at the Jetcentre from Friday at 7pm and 9.30pm, with tickets being available to book from tonight.
"The decision to widen the screening of the documentary shows there is a demand from the public to view the documentary and I welcome the news that Moviehouse Cinemas are facilitating that however, it is disappointing that the BBC have still not covered this story on its news or current affairs programmes when other media outlets have focused on the documentary and its revelations.
"My party colleague Chris Hazzard MP will meet with the BBC in order to challenge them on their failure to adequately cover the ground-breaking documentary into the massacre at Loughinisland in 1994.
"It is important that as wide an audience as possible are able to view a visual history of our past and the media play an important role in ensuring that this happens."
