Murphy welcomes Bessbrook Drugs Haul

15 November, 2017 - by Conor Murphy

Commenting on reports that Police have seized Drugs with an estimated street value of £160,000 in the Bessbrook area, Newry and Arnagh Sinn Féin MLA Conor Murphy said:

"The seizure of these drugs has potentially saved lives.

"It is essential that the PSNI is effective in removing drugs from our streets and also arresting those believed to be involved in the supply trade.

“Drugs have no place in our communities and we must do whatever we can to eliminate them from our society.”

Councillor Roisin Mulgrew said:

"I would urge the Police to continue to pursue those who engage in the world of illicit drugs, and ensure they face the full rigours of the law.

"There should be no hiding place for them.
