O’Neill welcomes china summit

1 December, 2017 - by Michelle O'Neill

Sinn Féin Leader in the North Michelle O’Neill has welcomed a major summit taking place in Belfast this weekend which will see over 50 Chinese provincial and municipal leaders in attendance.

“I am very much looking forward to attending this summit which represents a further strengthening in our relationship with China,” she commented.

“Over the course of three days, the summit will be exploring a number of themes including creative screen industries, health services technology, agri-food security and innovation.

“These have already been identified as areas for potential partnership working so we are very keen to discuss possibile co-operation in these industries to the benefit of the economy here and in China.

“Throughout the summit, a range of local businesses will also have the opportunity to engage directly with the delegation which will be of mutual benefit.”
