Students in financial difficulties should seek advice - Archibald

15 December, 2017 - by Caoimhe Archibald

Sinn Féin MLA Caoimhe Archibald has reminded students in financial difficulties that they may be able to access the Support Fund through their university or college.

The Party's Further and Higher Education spokesperson said:

"Students who may be facing financial difficulties should contact their Student Unions to get advice and support regarding assistance that may be available.

"The Support Fund is available through the universities and colleges for certain groups students, and those in difficult circumstance should look at the options available.

"Loans would have been received at the beginning of term and another payment is not due until January; it is important that students facing financial hardship are aware that assistance may be available."
