Ní Chuilín concerned as North Belfast school strike continues

23 November, 2018 - by Carál Ní Chuilín

Sinn Féin MLA Carál Ní Chuilin has expressed further concern at the ongoing union dispute involving NASUWT members at St. Patrick’s Primary School in North Belfast.

The North Belfast MLA said:

“I am concerned that NASUWT members at St. Patrick’s Primary School may be taking further strike action.

“I am encouraging school management and the NASUWT to uphold proper communication and dialogue with staff to ensure there can be a resolution to this dispute. This strike has continued over selected days over a period of two weeks

“It’s important the education of children is not impacted by this strike and that parents are kept informed of any developments.

“Sinn Féin support all efforts to find a resolution and would encourage everyone involved in this dispute to enter into meaningful dialogue.”
