Doolan extends sympathy to the family of Breandán Ó Dúill

12 May, 2006

Sinn Féin Councillor Daithí Doolan this afternoon expressed his deep sadness on hearing of the death of Breandán Ó Dúill. Cllr Doolan extended his condolences to Breandán's family and friends.

Speaking this morning Cllr Doolan said:

"Breandán Ó Dúill contributed greatly to Irish life, socially, politically and culturally. He was admired and respected throughout the country. I knew Breandán and always had great admiration for him. He was active in the local Tom Smith Sinn Féin Cumann in Rathmines until recently when ill health prevented him from involvement. We always knew we had a strong ally, friend and supporter in Breandán. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. On behalf of Sinn Féin I want to extend my condolences to his family and friends. I measc laochra na nGael a raibh sé."ENDS
