Adams expresses support for Sean Garland

Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams MP MLA has this morning expressed his support and solidarity for former Workers Party President Sean Garland who is facing extradition to the USA.

Mr. Adams said:

“I appeal to the US authorities to withdraw the extradition warrant against Sean Garland on humanitarian grounds.

Mr. Garland is very ill. The ongoing stress surrounding this case and the trauma of extradition would prove exceptionally harsh."
