Dublin North East - Larry O'TOOLE
A sitting Councillor
on Dublin City Council, Larry was first elected in 1999 and has topped the poll
in Artane in each subsequent election. Known for his support for communities
struggling against the problems of unemployment, crime and lack of opportunities,
Larry has been a vocal advocate, addressing social issues such as drugs,
housing, healthcare provision, public transport, childcare, jobs and workers’
rights.
As the Sinn Fein candidate in Dublin North East, Larry vehemently opposes the bailing out of the banks and the bondholders at the expense of the Irish people. He will fight against the loss of our economic sovereignty and will work to replace the current discredited deal with one that restores vitality and investment in our economy and stimulates employment.
Larry will bring all the skills he has developed over more than thirty years of political campaigning to the Dáil and will be a strong voice on behalf of hard-pressed families struggling to make ends meet in the face of a recession for which they are not responsible.
