Fermanagh & South/Tyrone MP Michelle Gildernew has welcomed the decision by the High Court to reverse the cut to the North’s Community Pharmacy budget.
Her comments came after the Community Pharmacy Northern Ireland (CPNI) won a judicial review against the cut of £38m.
Michelle Gildernew said:
“I welcome this ruling for community pharmacies. Sinn Féin were concerned the impact the cuts would have on pharmacies in rural areas and those of high depravation.
“The Deapartment need to appreciate the good work that community pharmacies are doing throughout the North.
“Community pharmacies provide a crucial service to people most in need and we need to protect this vital service to patients.”
